Italy- France cooperation

The French-Italian University/Université Franco Italienne (UIF/UFI) is an institution created on the basis of an intergovernmental agreement signed in Florence on 6 October 1998.

The purpose of the UIF/UFI is to promote the integration of university education and research on a European level.

Through ist calls for proposals, which concern cooperation between Italian and French university and research institutions, it supports in particular:

  • Binational second level degree courses involving the award of joint or double degrees;
  • Three-year doctoral grants;
  • Mobility of co-tutored doctoral students;
  • Post-doctoral research grants;
  • Mobility of researchers, for International projects involving collaboration and Exchange between Italian and French scientific groups;
  • Teaching activities at Italian universities for distinguished foreign lecturers, scholars or professionals from French universities or researchi nstitutions
  • Conferences, courses, university lectures and Italian-French cultural events.
