Teacher Training Programmes

The University of Basilicata offers postgraduate Teacher Training programmes leading to Qualified Teacher Status, intended for both graduates and in-service teachers, in compliance with Ministerial Decree no. 249 issued on 10 September 2010 by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research, as well as Legislative Decree no. 59 issued on 13 April 2017. 

Programmes include: 

• a 24-university-credit training programme for prospective teachers; the credits must be acquired by attending specialist modules in the following subject areas: Pedagogy, Special Needs Education, Pedagogy for Inclusive Education, Psychology, Anthropology, Teaching Methodology, and Educational Technology; 
   
• a specialist training programme for prospective Learning and Support Teachers.
