"Applied Course on Uavs for for environmental monitoring"

The University of Basilicata organizes a 5-day shortcourse entitled “APPLIED COURSE ON UAVs FOR ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING” held at Matera - Rione San Rocco. The Summer Course is intended for post-graduate students and post-docs interested in environmental monitoring, ecohydrological modelling, and use of geomorphological tools. The course will focus on applying UAVs (both fixed and rotary wing) to measure and repeatedly monitor vegetation state, land cover, surface morphology, river systems, and flood plains. Students will be directly involved in field experiences that aim to develop practical skills in using this fast growing technology to improve environmental modeling.

Enrollment in the class is limited to 15-20 students. Our aim is for a hands-on course experience with a low student-teacher ratio. Please submit the registration using the attached form no later than June 20, 2015. The registration fee is of 100.00 € and is due by the 10th of July.
