L'acqua è la risorsa più preziosa del pianeta. Più di 1 miliardo di persone non ha accesso a una fonte di acqua potabile pulita e circa 3 miliardi sperimentano la scarsità d'acqua almeno un mese all'anno. Non c'è scarsità d'acqua globale, ma un numero elevato di luoghi e regioni cronicamente a corto di acqua perché il suo uso a livello globale è aumentato più del doppio della popolazione nell'ultimo secolo. È evidente che il riciclo delle acque reflue può essere strategico oltre che contrastare gli sprechi. Il 23 giugno 2021, alle 11:30, il dott. Mohannad Qurie, Direttore del Centro di Analisi Chimiche e Biologiche dell'Università Al-Quds, terrà il seminario "Trattamento delle acque reflue mediante tecnologia a membrana: il caso palestinese". L'evento verrà registrato e sarà visibile anche sul sito dell'Università degli Studi della Basilicata.

Water is the most precious resource on the planet. More than 1 billion people do not have access to a source of clean drinking water, and around 3 billion experience water scarcity at least one month per year. There is no global water scarcity, but many places and regions chronically short of water because its use at the global level has increased more than twice as fast as the population over the last century. The recycling of wastewater can be a strategy as well as counter waste. On June 23, 2021, at 11.30, Dr Mohannad Qurie, Director of the Centre of Chemical and Biological Analysis of Al-Quds University, will hold the seminar "Wastewater treatment using membrane technology: the Palestine Case".
